Gregory Construction Reports To:
Batchman / Batch Plant Manager / Superintendent About Gregory Construction Gregory Construction is a heavy civil contractor that runs production-driven jobs and expects performance in the field. We build complex infrastructure across the Southeast and rely on experienced operators who understand how to keep crews moving, plants running, and schedules on track. Our culture is built around accountability, safety, and getting the job done right—without shortcuts. About the Role We're looking for a Batch Plant Loader Operator who knows what it takes to keep a plant running at production pace. This isn't a seat-filler role—you are directly responsible for keeping material flowing, preventing downtime, and supporting the batch plant team to hit daily targets. If you've worked around batch plants, you already know: when materials aren't right or production slows, everything behind it suffers. We need someone who takes ownership of that. This is a traveling position supporting mobile batch plants across Louisiana and Texas. You'll move with the work, support plant setups and tear-downs, and be part of a crew that expects consistency and reliability. Per diem is provided when working away from home in accordance with company policy. Key Responsibilities Production & Equipment Operation Keep aggregate flowing—no gaps, no delays Operate a front-end loader efficiently to meet plant demand Stay ahead of production needs, not behind them Support the Batchman to keep loads consistent and on schedule Material Control Maintain clean, organized stockpiles that prevent contamination Manage materials with an understanding of how they impact mix quality Monitor moisture and consistency—don't wait to be told something's off Plant Support & Mobility Assist with plant setup, tear-down, and relocation Handle daily housekeeping—this is a working plant, not a storage yard Complete inspections and basic maintenance without being asked Flag problems early—equipment, materials, or safety Safety Follow OSHA/MSHA and company standards—no exceptions Stay alert and aware in a high-activity production environment Participate in safety meetings and take them seriously Qualifications Required Proven front-end loader experience (production environment preferred) Valid driver's license Willingness to travel and relocate with projects Ability to work outdoors in all conditions Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working around heavy equipment Must pass drug screening and background check Preferred Batch plant, quarry, or heavy civil construction experience OSHA 10/30 or equivalent ASI certified What We're Looking For Operators who understand production pressure and respond to it People who take ownership instead of waiting for direction Strong communication with batch plant and field crews Reliable performers—this team depends on consistency Why Gregory Construction? Steady work on high-impact infrastructure projects Travel opportunities with per diem A field-first culture that values experienced operators Opportunity to work with teams that expect and respect strong performance
