Responsibilities Operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, utility installation, and site grading with accuracy and efficiency Conduct routine maintenance on construction machinery, including Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety Utilize utility locating tools and techniques to identify underground utilities before excavation begins, preventing damage and ensuring safety compliance Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members Assist with construction utility work such as trenching, pipe laying, and site preparation to support infrastructure development projects Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections in accordance with construction site protocols Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate operations on busy construction sites while adhering to project timelines Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction setting Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, utility work, grading, and general construction procedures Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential Ability to perform construction utility work including utility locating and trenching safely and accurately Skilled in the operation of Caterpillar equipment or similar brands; experience with excavators operation is highly desirable Excellent understanding of construction grading techniques and water truck operation for site management Join us in building vital infrastructure while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values safety, skill development, and teamwork.
