In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating overhead cranes to load, unload, and move heavy materials within our facility. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, supporting order picking, inventory management, and shipping & receiving activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and precision. Duties Operate overhead cranes to load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and placement according to safety protocols Assist with order picking and materials handling using crane operations in conjunction with forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners Coordinate with warehouse team members to ensure accurate inventory management and timely shipping & receiving processes Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, adhering to OSHA standards Support manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting, ensuring safe techniques are used at all times Follow safety procedures meticulously during all operations to prevent accidents and promote a safe work environment Maintain detailed logs of crane activity, load weights, and material movements for tracking and reporting purposes Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or warehouse operations with a focus on heavy equipment operation Strong knowledge of crane operation combined with experience in forklift driving, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate order processing Ability to perform basic math calculations for load weights, measurements, and inventory counts Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence aligned with OSHA regulations Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for understanding overall warehouse workflows Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment This role is paid and offers a vibrant work environment where your skills directly contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse operations.
