Heavy Equipment Operator - Excavation & Mass Earthwork Redhawk Earthworks, LLC is hiring several experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for excavation and mass earthwork projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Qualified candidates must have at least two years of experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and other large construction equipment. Experience operating equipment equipped with GPS or machine-control systems is strongly preferred. Compensation is based on demonstrated skill and experience. Responsibilities Safely operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy construction equipment. Perform excavation, mass grading, site preparation, material handling, and related earthwork activities. Complete daily pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections. Perform routine daily maintenance, including checking fluids, greasing equipment, and reporting mechanical or safety concerns. Read and follow grade stakes, site plans, and project instructions. Operate equipment efficiently while maintaining proper grades and production goals. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate and coordinate with foremen, laborers, truck drivers, and other operators to maintain a safe and productive workflow. Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly. Qualifications Minimum of two years of heavy equipment operating experience in excavation, mass earthwork, grading, or site development. Demonstrated experience operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and similar construction equipment. Knowledge of heavy-equipment safety practices and construction-site regulations. Ability to perform routine inspections and basic daily equipment maintenance. Ability to work safely and efficiently outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions. Willingness and ability to travel to project locations throughout the DFW area. Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain dependable attendance. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening. Preferred Experience GPS or machine-control systems on heavy equipment. Finish grading and working to specified elevations. Large-scale excavation and mass grading projects.
