Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities without damaging them. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work in various environments while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac trucks for safe excavation and utility exposure. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Collaborate with team members to plan excavation projects effectively. Utilize various heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, and bulldozers, as needed. Conduct horizontal drilling operations when required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use. Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while on the job site. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding project status and any issues that arise. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with hydrovac trucks. Commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain one if not already held. Familiarity with dump truck operations is a plus. Experience with loader operation, backhoe operation, and bulldozer operation is advantageous. Ability to dig safely around existing utilities while minimizing disruption. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
