Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grader Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating grading equipment to shape and level earth surfaces, ensuring precise grading for roads, foundations, and other construction projects. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards, optimize project efficiency, and deliver high-quality results on every site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to building infrastructure that lasts. Duties Operate graders and related heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, and water trucks to perform grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance in accordance with equipment safety procedures. Follow construction utility work protocols and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Assist with construction site setup by performing tasks such as utility locating, excavation, paving, and horizontal drilling as needed. Collaborate with team members to execute precise grading according to project specifications while adhering to safety regulations. Operate dump trucks, tanker trucks, and other vehicles for transporting materials across the site efficiently. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, water trucks, and backhoes. Strong mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Skilled in construction grading techniques and site preparation processes. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to uphold a safe work environment. Ability to perform utility locating accurately for underground utilities before excavation or grading activities. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving is preferred. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, paving, horizontal drilling, and utility work enhances your suitability for this role.
