Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. We are a local general contractor in business for over 70 years.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy construction equipment to include backhoe, trackhoe, loader, dozer, skid steer, roller, sheeps foot, forklift, etc. This job is not in a warehouse operating a forklift all day. If you can only operate a forklift and no other equipment you are not the candidate for this position. In this position there will be other duties as assigned. When there is no work operating a piece of equipment during the day it will be necessary to assist in other areas. In other words you may or may not be on a piece of equipment 8 hours a day. When the job site is "rained out" we make an effort to keep the employee working by providing other assignments so they will have no lost time.
Qualifications:
-Previous equipment experience is required. The more types of equipment the bigger the plus. Dependable and responsible with good attendance a must. Must be willing to do other duties at rare times when no operating is necessary. This position offers local work- no overnight stays. Sign on bonus is $500 after 60 days employment. Health, dental & vision insurance are available at a very minimum charge to the employee after 90 days employment. Scheduled hours are M-F/7:30-4:00 with overtime occasionally to regularly depending on work load. Salary is depending on experience and previous employment history. Must be able to pass background check with verifiable references and drug screen. Must have valid drivers license or identification card. Paper application is required for this position .
