$25.00/hr. to $35.00/hr. DOE Job Summary Impact Staffing Solutions LLC is currently recruiting an experienced Excavator Operator for a Cattle Company located near Colfax, WA. This is a full-time project-based assignment expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months. The project involves installing approximately 10 miles of underground waterline and constructing about 20 livestock watering stations across ranch property. •Lodging and a daily per diem are available for qualified employees who do not reside in or near the Colfax, WA area.•
Job Duties:
Excavate trenches, connection pits, and post holes for underground waterline, pipe connections, and livestock watering stations. Work closely with the underground utility crew to maintain proper trench depth, alignment, and grade. Read terrain and follow grade stakes to support proper installation of the water distribution system. Safely excavate around underground utilities and water system components. Backfill and compact excavations while protecting newly installed waterline and fittings. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs. Qualifications Previous experience operating excavators on underground utility, waterline, irrigation, pipeline, or heavy civil construction projects. Ability to safely excavate around underground utilities while working closely with ground personnel. Experience reading grade stakes, construction layouts, and varying terrain. Knowledge of trenching practices and excavation safety. Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work with minimal supervision. Schedule 8-12 hours/day Monday through Friday- Occasional Saturdays if needed Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds on a regular basis. Climb in and out of heavy equipment multiple times throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while operating heavy equipment. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, climb, and walk on uneven ground. Work outdoors in hot, dusty, windy, cold, and changing weather conditions. Work on uneven terrain, hillsides, and remote ranch property. Safely work around trenches, underground utilities, excavators, tractors, and other heavy equipment. Follow all safety procedures, including trench safety requirements and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
