Job Description
Waste Control a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/ Laborer at our facility in Longview, Washington. The Starting rate of pay is $25.87/HR.
The Schedule will be:
4 Days on, 3 Days off -3 Days on, -4 Days off. Every other Wednesday and every Thursday through Saturday Starting at 6:00am-5:30Pm (With Overtime Often. Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing. Helps Drivers Tarp Trucks. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Works well with the public Safety sensitive. YesWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Safely Directing Traffic by Flagging in the Transfer Station. Helps CDL Drivers with Tarping Open Containers. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment. Knowledge of basic computer skills. Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
