Night Shift Heavy Equipment Operator (Tacoma, WA) Waste Connections $29.00
•$30.00 / hr life insurance, flexible benefit account, short term disability, 401(k) United States, Washington, Tacoma Sep 02, 2026 Recovery One, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-minded Equipment Operator to join our growing operation at the Port of Tacoma. This is a hands-on position operating a variety of heavy equipment while supporting daily yard operations and material processing activities. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a team that keeps operations moving, we'd like to hear from you.

•$30.00 per hour
Shift Options:
2:00 PM
•10:30 PM
4:00 PM
•2:30 AM Schedule varies depending on assigned shift length and operational needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate loaders, excavators, yard goats, and wood grinders safely and efficiently.
Load, move, sort, and process materials throughout the facility.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Assist with general yard and operational duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
Experience with loaders, excavators, yard goats, grinders, or similar equipment is highly desirable.
Ability to work safely in a busy industrial environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
