Foreman/Superintendent Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team for pipeline and utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of heavy equipment used in excavation, trenching, backfilling, and other phases of pipeline and underground utility installation. The position requires a strong understanding of safe work practices and working in various field conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and telehandlers for pipeline and utility construction tasks. Ability to operate equipment of uneven and steep slopes. Excavate trenches to precise depths and grades in accordance with plans and specifications, as well as, ability to perform final reclamation and dress up. Load and unload construction materials and ensure proper stockpiling and site organization. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation. Work closely with foremen, laborers, and other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with general labor tasks when equipment operation is not needed. Experience working around live utilities or in ROW conditions.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in pipeline, utility, or civil construction. Familiarity with safe trenching and shoring practices. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Physical ability to work in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions. Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
