Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites.
Home Building & Site Development:
Assist with residential construction tasks, including excavation for foundations, trenching for utilities, septic system installations, final grading, and road building or maintenance.
Property & Site Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and upkeep across residential job sites and completed properties, ensuring structural integrity, clear site access, and safe operating conditions.
Framing & Hands-on Construction:
Support framing crews and general construction efforts when machinery is not in active operation (framing and general residential building experience is a strong plus). Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and cranes on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks. Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery. Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance. Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including but not limited to excavators, backhoes, dozers, and concrete mixers. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Experience with various types of trucks including tankers and farm machinery is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills. Knowledge of construction site operations and safety standards.
