Big Sky-Montana Civil JV has general equipment operator position openings for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators that have experience with several of the following equipment: Experience Excavator for a high reach, loader, dozer, and articulated truck for a concrete demolition project.

Responsibilities:

Perform Daily Inspections, watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly.

Perform Daily Maintenance:

Fueling & Lubing, Cleanout Trash Daily, Clean mirrors & windows. This is a Safety Sensitive Position that is responsible for operating heavy equipment in cut/fill, underground and overhead utilities, haul routes, staging areas, and tight areas. Knowledge of hazards, safety precautions and awareness for a variety of tasks are essential. Some duties include loading and unloading of materials and supplies that requires lifting and/or moving materials by hand weighing up to 50 lbs., operator will be required to get in and out of equipment multiple times daily. Exercise good judgement regarding safety & pre-cautions. Work independently and in crew environment depending on the task.

Qualifications:

Must have 5 years' experience operating Heavy Equipment in Heavy Civil Construction, safely and efficiently in all phases of operations, during normal conditions, night conditions, adverse weather and emergencies conditions. Judge distances and slopes accurately. Available to work extended long hours, nights and weekends when weather demands schedule. This is an emergency project and may need a swing shift for a week. Able to pass Pre-employment Physical and Drug/Alcohol Testing, including marijuana. Must be able to follow instructions and meet set standards. Must be familiar with basic hand signals. Must be able to Read & Write to fill out Daily Time Cards.

Pay:

Each operator will be paid $30.00 to $38.00 /hour DOE, per diem day is $175.00 (must work over 6 hours to receive) Bonus bank retention at $7.00/hour straight time and must stay through duration of entire project. Ask for details.
