The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and structural projects. This role requires a strong understanding of surface preparation, color application, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality results. The Painter will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines, contributing to the aesthetic and structural integrity of our projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, caulking, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and other hand or power tools. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting tasks. Select appropriate paints, coatings, and materials based on project requirements and color theory principles. Perform structural painting tasks such as coating beams, columns, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential or commercial settings. Use ladders safely for high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to safety regulations and protocols. Conduct surface repairs including plastering, fixture installation, caulking, and remodeling tasks as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocol guidelines during all phases of work. Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Strong knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison. Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, structural painting, and surface preparation techniques. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, plastering tools, and power tools including paint sprayers (conventional spraying) for efficient application. Ability to operate ladders safely for elevated surfaces while following safety regulations. Familiarity with construction site experience including blueprint reading and renovation processes. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence including respiratory protection measures. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material quantities. Experience with fixture installation, remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and handyman responsibilities is a plus.
