In this pivotal role, you will oversee painting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. As a leader on-site, you will coordinate with team members, interpret blueprints and schematics, and execute both residential and commercial painting projects with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Lead and supervise painting crews, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of projects Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine scope of work and required materials Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, sanding, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, or other methods Perform detailed trim carpentry, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation as needed for renovation projects Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure finishes meet company standards and client expectations Maintain safety protocols on-site by using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), managing hazardous materials like industrial paints or welding fumes, and adhering to OSHA regulations Skills Extensive experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong understanding of construction estimating processes Proficiency in color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and color matching accuracy Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and airless paint spraying equipment Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site layout planning Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration techniques Familiarity with industrial painting methods and fixture installation for large-scale or specialized projects Strong basic math skills for measurements and material calculations; experience with remodeling or renovation projects is a plus Hands-on experience with welding, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, masonry work, handyman tasks, and maintenance activities Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients while maintaining a safe working environment Join us as a Lead Painter if you're passionate about transforming spaces with expert craftsmanship!
