PAINT STRIPPER
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Paint Stripper to join our team! As a Paint Stripper, you will be responsible for removing old paint from various surfaces, preparing them for repainting or refinishing. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and effectively remove old paint from walls, woodwork, and other surfaces. Use scraping tools, heat guns, and chemical paint removers to complete the task. Patching and sanding surfaces new paint or finishing. Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Follow safety protocols and proper handling of tools and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Clean walls to ensure proper adnce. Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection. Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs. Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; Assist with other general maintenance tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in paint scraping or similar work; lead certification is a plus. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, lifting, standing for long periods). Lift and carry up objects between 50 to 75 pounds. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to follow safety procedures and use equipment properly. Reliability and punctuality.
