In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, enhance building aesthetics, and protect surfaces from wear and weathering. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific surface requirements. Perform specialized painting tasks including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and construction site painting. Execute surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration projects to ensure a smooth finish. Install fixtures, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and perform renovation or remodeling tasks that complement your painting work. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using hand tools properly and adhering to protocols for scaffolding, working at heights, or confined spaces. Requirements Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of both residential and commercial projects. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints or schematics accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, plastering tools, masonry equipment, welding gear (if applicable), and power tools including drills and sanders. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques like sanding, scraping, plastering, masonry work, and concrete finishing. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential. Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation or restoration work is a plus. Strong understanding of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects in various environments. Valid construction site experience with knowledge of safety protocols; handyman experience is advantageous.
