Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Interior Painter to transform residential and commercial spaces with expert craftsmanship and vibrant color. Responsibilities Prepare interior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), brushes, and rollers to apply coatings with precision and consistency Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute painting plans and specifications Perform surface treatments such as drywall installation, plastering, caulking, and stucco application for smooth finishes Conduct construction site surface preparation including sanding, scraping, and masking to ensure clean work areas Apply various types of paint including residential, commercial, industrial, and structural coatings using conventional spraying or brush/roller methods Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work Assist with fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing, masonry, or remodeling tasks as needed to support project completion Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly throughout the job process Read and interpret blueprints or schematics accurately for precise application of colors and finishes Skills Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects Strong understanding of color theory for selecting appropriate hues and finishes that match client specifications Proven experience in residential painting with a focus on drywall finishing, trim carpentry, and surface preparation Skilled in ladder use for reaching high areas safely and efficiently Experience with structural painting techniques for walls, ceilings, beams, and other building components Proficiency with hand tools (putty knives, scrapers), power tools (drills, sanders), paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding setups Ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics accurately for project execution Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection use and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites Familiarity with blueprint reading and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Experience with drywall installation/remodeling projects along with plastering or stucco applications Capable of performing industrial painting tasks or coating applications in commercial or manufacturing environments Basic handyman skills such as fixture installation or minor carpentry repairs are a plus Join our team as an Interior Painter where your craftsmanship will bring spaces to life!
