A Veterinarian provides medical care to animals. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries. Specializes in treating either pets and small domesticated animals, or large animals and livestock, or wild animals. May work on farms, in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, in animal shelters, or in hospitals or clinics that specialize in caring for animals. May inspect livestock used for food and check compliance with food safety regulations, or work in laboratories doing clinical research on animal and human diseases.

Blackwater Veterinary Services | Salisbury, New Hampshire Join a well established, privately owned mixed animal practice in beautiful central New Hampshire! We are looking for a full time veterinarian to join our four-doctor practice. We offer a friendly, supportive environment where you can enjoy the variety of mixed-animal medicine while maintaining a schedule that allows you to have a life outside of work. What We Offer 4-day work week (no routine appointments on weekends) One night of on-call per week One weekend of on-call per month Supportive, experienced veterinary team Privately owned practice Well-established, loyal client base Competitive salary and benefits package including Company-match SIMPLE plan, Health insurance, Long term disability plan, Continuing education allowance and 100% paid emergency fees The Caseload Our diverse mixed-animal caseload includes: Dogs and cats Equine Small ruminants Camelids Swine Cattle Chickens Our Practice & Equipment Our practice serves a loyal clientele throughout central New Hampshire and provides both small- and large-animal veterinary care.
