Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, drywall finishing, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, tipping, roller painting, and spray painting (including airless and conventional spray techniques). Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation, fixture installation, or minor repairs. Select appropriate coatings based on project requirements such as residential or industrial applications, ensuring proper surface protection and longevity. Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by using respiratory protection, following safety protocols, and correctly handling hazardous materials. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects or maintenance tasks involving masonry, stucco, plastering, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, or masonry work. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating application techniques. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and visual color matching. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, sanders, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools including sprayers and drills. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of respiratory protection equipment. Capable of working at heights using ladders safely and efficiently; experience with scaffolding is a plus.
