Job Description

Overview Position Overview Shamco Management is seeking an individual painter to work across our Morris County portfolio of residential properties. This position is for an individual applicant. Painting companies and subcontracting firms will not be considered. The ideal candidate has at least three years of hands-on painting experience and knows how to properly prepare surfaces, spackle, sand, prime, and paint. You must have reliable transportation, work independently, and complete assignments on schedule. Responsibilities Prepare walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces for painting. Repair holes, cracks, and surface imperfections using spackle, joint compound, and caulk. Sand and prime surfaces to achieve a smooth, consistent finish. Paint apartments, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces. Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas before starting work. Keep work areas clean and remove materials and debris after completing each job. Follow instructions for paint colors, finishes, and the scope of work. Coordinate with property managers and maintenance staff to meet apartment turnover deadlines. Report conditions that require additional repairs before painting. Follow safety procedures and treat residents and their homes with respect. Qualifications At least three years of professional painting experience. Experience with surface preparation, spackling, sanding, priming, and painting. Ability to produce clean lines, even coverage, and finished work with minimal touch-ups. Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel between properties throughout Morris County. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and good time management. Ability to use ladders and perform the physical tasks required for painting. Experience painting occupied apartments and vacant turnover units preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
