We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. This is a subcontractor opportunity, not a full-time employment position. Responsibilities Utilize ladders, scaffolding, and power tools safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering strictly to safety regulations and respiratory protection standards Perform surface treatments such as coating, sealing, or restoration on structural elements like drywall, stucco, or concrete surfaces during renovation or remodeling projects Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste disposal and organizing tools and materials efficiently on-site Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets Work on and from ladders, platforms, and scaffolds as jobs may require Depending on the project, work under extreme weather conditions Lift and cary objects weighing up to 60+ pounds; bending, kneeling, and crouching while working; working in confined spaces Understands how to properly estimate labor and manage job profitability Self-starter with ability to work independently Capability to diagnose problems with equipment Knowledge of basic painting procedures and knowledge of safety rules, hazards and application of accident prevention measures May need to work occasional evenings, overtime, and weekends based Requirements Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Depending on the project, under supervision, do inside and outside patching and painting of a general nature, including all coats and prep work Prepare, fill, and prime surfaces for painting; mix paint components and match colors; apply paint with a brush, roller, and or spray gun to surfaces. Knowledge of how to use a pray gun is a bonus but not required If needed, apply plaster and stucco to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces and structures with skillful use of hand tools and power tools Clean mold and mildew and other unknown substances from areas to be worked on; Scraping and repairing substrates and components known or unknown Take proper care of all materials, tools, and equipment; Especially clients personal passions and furniture Keep work records Follow safety regulations diligently by using respiratory protection, harnesses, ladders, and adhering to all safety protocols during work activities All Painters perform related work not limited to the previously described Additional handyman experience or construction site experience will be considered an asset Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of full time experience Has experience with both residential interior and exterior painting Has reliable transportation Is dependable, responsive, and problem solver Can understand English Strong attention to detail and quality Knowledge of painting tools, techniques, and safety procedures Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding as needed Join our team if you're eager to bring vibrant transformations to homes through expert craftsmanship!
