• Enterprise DevOps What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Designing end-to-end cloud architecture solutions across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments Defining infrastructure-as-code standards and patterns using tools such as Terraform, and guiding adoption across engineering teams Establishing cloud security architecture, cost optimization strategies, and operational resilience frameworks Leading technical design reviews and architecture decision-making for complex, distributed systems Mentoring and developing mid-level and senior engineers in cloud infrastructure, system design, and architecture thinking Collaborating with platform teams, security, and DevOps leadership to align infrastructure with organizational strategy Evaluating emerging cloud technologies and recommending adoption where they support business objectives What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 10-15 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud platforms, or systems engineering 5+ years leading or mentoring technical teams through infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation initiatives Deep hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (multi-cloud preferred) Proven expertise designing and deploying infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform or equivalent tools Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes Demonstrated ability to design for scalability, security, resilience, and cost-efficiency Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent professional experience) Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Experience with multi-cloud strategy or cloud migration at enterprise scale Expertise in observability, monitoring, and incident response architecture Background in financial modeling or cloud cost forecasting Open-source contributions or thought leadership in infrastructure architecture What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: The opportunity to define technical vision and shape infrastructure standards that enable organizational growth Mentorship and development of engineering talent, with scope to raise the technical standards of teams Exposure to complex, mission-critical system design challenges across enterprise environments Potential for technical progression toward principal or chief architect responsibilities, where supported by role scope Collaborative partnerships with technology leaders, security architects, and business stakeholders Flexibility, professional development support, and competitive compensation packages aligned with experience About Specialist Staffing Group We are a specialist recruitment partner focused on connecting talented professionals with rewarding opportunities in technology and infrastructure.
