The Maintenance Painter applies paint, varnishes, and stains as directed to interior and/or exterior surfaces. As a Maintenance Painter at Mary's Woods, you will be contributing to creating a beautiful community for residents and their guests to enjoy. You must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents, and families, and enjoy working on a team. Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. We pride ourselves on our rich heritage, spirit of caring and welcoming culture. We are seeking passionate team members to join us in fulfilling our mission and values. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience, and skills needed to be successful: Demonstrates knowledge of the properties of paint removers, cleaners, paints, varnishes, and application techniques Prepares surfaces by removing old paint, using paint removers, cleansers, scrapers, wire brushes, or blowtorches Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with correct fillers Cleans and primes surfaces as necessary, mask and prep areas designated for painting
Education and Experience Required:
Education equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma
