Donahoo Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer for our Underground Utilities Pipe Crew . This position plays a critical role in the installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a crew in physically demanding conditions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation of underground water, sewer, and storm drainage lines Lay and align pipe accurately using proper tools and construction methods Cut and fit pipes; install valves, manholes, catch basins, and related components Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains Perform work involving grading trenches, culverts, positioning pipe, and sealing joints Operate small equipment such as tampers, compactors, and saws as needed Assist equipment operators and other skilled workers by providing labor support Work as part of a crew, taking direction from supervisors and foremen Communicate clearly with team members to ensure efficient and accurate job completion Follow all OSHA, MSHA, and company safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Frequent lifting of up to 70 lbs unassisted and up to 200 lbs assisted Ability to work in extreme temperatures and outdoor conditions Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and working in trenches Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods Qualifications Experience working on underground utility or pipe crews preferred Experience working around heavy equipment Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement Weekly pay Health and dental insurance options 401(k) Paid time off (PTO) and holidays
