Excavation Foreman

Job Description:

Dunrite Excavation is looking to hire a working foreman for the Northern Colorado area. The purpose of the foreman at Dunrite Excavation is to manage the job site, maintain a safe working environment for our teammates, customers and public, and to be accountable for quality, productivity and costs.

Responsibilities:

• Review plans and Specs
• Establish daily crew goals
• Communicate with customers and Project Manager
• Assign job duties
• Monitor Progress
• Evaluate Teammates' performance and provide coaching
• Complete daily paperwork (i.e. daily reports, safety sheets, timesheets etc.)
• Trenching, Excavation and Wet Utilities knowledge
• Ability to effectively operate equipment in a safe manner at all times, in an effort to eliminate damage and injury when excavating in the vicinity of underground utilities (communication, power, natural gas, water, etc.)
• Experience in Water, Sewer and Storm Utilities installation
• Good driving record
• Problem solving ability
• Strong work ethic/team player attitude
• Typical work day is 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday -- Friday. However, additional hours and/or Saturdays may be necessary.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to Mechanics
• Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Can read and properly interpret survey grade stakes

Foreman Requirements:

• Must have valid Driver's License and Clean MVR.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits
• Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills
• Perform well in a "TEAM" environment
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
• Ability to lift 75+lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise
• Workers must be punctual and reliable. And have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
• Willing to work hours that are associated to the construction industry, including overtime and weekends as needed
• Minimum 4 year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
• Heavy equipment operation experience required, excavator, dozer, loader, scraper, backhoe, roller etc.

Pay:

$83,000 - $105,000 Full-time Year Round Work Eligible for Benefits after 60 days! Company provides paid health insurance for the employee.
