Job Description
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings and facilities by inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems. This position requires a strong understanding of fire codes, standards, and regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems. Sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) Fire pumps and controllers Standpipe systems Emergency lighting systems Portable fire extinguishers Kitchen suppression systems (where applicable) Special Hazards systems (where applicable) Identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, test results, and recommendations. Interpret and apply relevant fire codes and standards, such as NFPA, IFC, and local regulations. Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety requirements and inspection results. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Stay up to date on the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and regulations. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance. Possess relevant State and/or National certifications, where applicable. Denver License Alarm CSA Exam Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC). Familiarity with various fire protection systems and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.Job Type:
