Minimum of 2 years of shipyard pipefitting experience preferred. Candidates without shipyard experience will still be considered for an interview. Ability to read blueprints and fabricate, fit, assemble, and install piping systems. Experience working with pumps, valves, pipe spools, foundations, tanks, and other shipboard components. Skilled in repairing, modifying, and removing piping systems using hand and power tools. Must be able to work safely in a shipyard environment and wear required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and fall protection when required. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, and working in confined spaces or at heights as needed. Must have reliable transportation to and from the shipyard. Willingness to assist with other shipyard duties as needed and work overtime when required.
