Hutson Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Combo Welder/Pipefitter to join our growing team. We are an industrial mechanical contractor specializing in process piping, boiler work, pressure vessels, and mechanical installations throughout Indiana and surrounding states. If you take pride in producing quality work, working safely, and solving challenging field problems, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems.
- Perform pipe fitting for industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and commercial mechanical projects.
- Weld using GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and GMAW (MIG) processes as required.
- Fit and weld pipe ranging from small bore tubing to large diameter process piping.
- Install valves, pumps, boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform field modifications and repairs while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct pressure testing and verify system integrity.
- Work safely while complying with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial pipefitting and welding experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a weld test (TIG and Stick preferred).
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
- Strong blueprint and isometric drawing interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of industrial piping systems and mechanical equipment installation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments including heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Experience
