Full Job Description Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7AM/3:30

PM Job Summary:

Perform skilled piping maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of Pipe systems valves and controls, piping systems of water, steam, chilled water, and process fluids.

Responsibilities:

Inspect, repair, modify and install piping, pipe welding valves, system and process control components Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout and troubleshooting for piping systems, piping controls and related components Identify required tools and special equipment Select the type and size of pipe and valves required Locate and mark positions for connections, equipment, and system components Install supports and hangers for pipe, components and equipment Assemble and install valves and fittings Install, repair and maintain HVAC, piping and process controls Install, repair and maintain water heaters and conditioners Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks Perform scheduled maintenance service on piping systems and control valves Apply all codes to installations, repairs and maintenance Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate code

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a Pipe Welder in an industrial, manufacturing, or petroleum-based environment Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or alloy pipe Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometric drawings, and welding procedures Experience with pipe fit-up, alignment, tacking, and welding Ability to perform welding in various positions, including 2G, 5G, and 6GGood verbal communication skills Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity Familiarity with

ASME/API

welding standards and applicable safety requirements Ability to use welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and measuring instruments Ability to pass a welding test/qualification test, if required Good analytical and problem-solving skills Good physical health, strength and stamina Ability to work alone and as a member of a team #HSM125
