You will need practical expertise in handling steel and stainless-steel tubing, specifically regarding routing, bending, fitting, and final installation. Please note that this role focuses on rigid tubing and hard lines rather than hose assembly. Successful applicants will demonstrate proficiency in interpreting blueprints to ensure all installations align precisely with machine requirements. Core Duties Execute the bending, fitting, routing, and installation of stainless and carbon steel tubing. Utilize manual and bench-mounted tools to shape tubing accurately. Handle the measurement, cutting, and preparation of materials for assembly. Integrate rigid hard-line systems into industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance. Analyze technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide your work. Identify the most efficient routing and connection strategies by referencing project prints. Ensure all tubing setups strictly adhere to the designated machine specifications. Verify the quality and precision of your installations through thorough inspections. Collaborate effectively with electricians, machine builders, and other tradespeople during the assembly process. Maintain a secure and high-quality work environment by following all established safety protocols. Qualifications At least seven years of professional experience in pipefitting or a related skilled trade. Proven background working with stainless-steel and steel tubing materials. Advanced proficiency in both bench and hand-bending techniques. Demonstrated history of working with hard-line systems; experience limited to hoses is not sufficient. Familiarity with lubrication, coolant, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Strong capability to decipher complex schematics, blueprints, and machine layouts. Prior experience in the assembly or maintenance of robotics, automated systems, or CNC machinery is highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to measure, shape, and install tubing to meet exact project requirements. Experience in pressure testing systems to help ensure a leak-free, reliable final product. A Pipefitter certification is ideal, though we will consider candidates with equivalent hands-on trade experience. Capacity to mentor junior team members and apprentices to help elevate the team's overall technical skill set.
