WORKING PIPE LAYER / HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

We are seeking an experienced Working Pipe Layer/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our crew. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience with underground utilities and heavy equipment, including water and sewer mains/services and storm drain installation. This is a hands-on position. Candidates must be comfortable operating equipment as well as working in the trench and assisting the crew when needed. Overtime is available during busy months, with occasional Saturdays and out-of-town projects. Employees are typically home on weekends. Responsibilities Install water, sewer, and storm drain pipe and structures Excavate, grade, and prepare trenches for pipe installation Read plans, shoot grade, and use lasers/levels Cut, align, connect, and seal pipe Backfill and compact trenches Safely operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Assist other crew members as needed Qualifications 3+ years of underground utility and heavy equipment experience Ability to shoot grade and read plans/blueprints Knowledge of water, sewer, and storm systems Strong understanding of equipment operation and jobsite safety Able to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work in varying conditions Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with a crew Must pass required background checks and drug testing To apply, please send your resume to david@redhawkec.com.
