Roles and Responsibilities Supervise the lay out, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of mechanical piping and/or sheet metal duct systems at job site locations Support the Superintendent to complete the project on time, safely, and on (or under) budget Testing mechanical systems to ensure safety and functionality Communicate professionally with management and team members Follows all safety policies and procedures Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments Collaborate with other workers to complete the project Responsible for managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and project materials on job sites Complete all job-related documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Maintain professional communication with customers at all times, both in person and through electronic correspondence Responsible for the care and maintenance of company vehicles while adhering to all company Fleet Policy requirements Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time. Qualifications and Requirements 5 Years of commercial sheet metal or mechanical piping experience 1+ year of supervisory experience Ability to communicate clearly with the team leader and follow directions Ability to show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform Must have personal hand tools required for the position Present yourself in a professional manner Ability to read blueprints Ability to recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed Ability to abide by basic safe work practices Must be able to work a flexible schedule, days, nights, and some weekends Must successfully pass a background check & drug test High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
Physical Demands:
Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).Material Handling:
? lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).?Work Environment:
Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
