Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry codes. Your expertise in pipefitting, welding, and blueprint interpretation will be vital in delivering high-quality results efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from industrial facilities to sprinkler systems, contributing to safe and reliable piping infrastructure. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine pipe routing and specifications. Install, assemble, fabricate, and maintain piping systems using various welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG, and Pipe Welding to ensure secure and durable connections. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, tube benders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Perform pipe fitting tasks including cutting, soldering, bending, threading, and assembly of pipes in accordance with ASME codes & standards and NFPA regulations. Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Adhere strictly to safety regulations and protocols related to construction sites, welding practices, fire sprinkler fitting standards, rigging procedures, and power tool safety. Collaborate with team members on construction plans involving pipeline installation for various systems such as fire sprinklers or manufacturing processes. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including NFPA standards during pipe installation or maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used for project documentation. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter with a strong background in pipefitting within construction or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, construction plans, and schematics accurately. Mechanical knowledge of piping systems including installation of sprinkler systems and fire protection piping according to NFPA standards. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, rigging equipment, and fabrication tools. Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to piping fabrication and installation. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting tasks. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety regulations related to welding, pipe installation, rigging operations, and general construction practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety protocol guidelines at all times. Pay:
$31.55 - $34.50 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
