Buffalo, NY Position Summary:
In support of the Company's primary and single most important objective, which is
TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS
, this individual is responsible for assembling, installing, and testing PVC and CPVC piping systems to meet customer specifications and quality standards. Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators: Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA, and employer Producing high-quality support by meeting customer requirements as outlined in the job specifications Meeting and/or exceeding job requirements Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
Position Responsibilities:
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine optimal routing and layout of
PVC/CPVC
piping
  • Fabricate and assemble piping systems, valves, fittings, and instruments according to job specifications
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to ensure proper integration of piping systems into overall projects
  • Perform hydrostatic and pressure testing (HYDRO TEST) and assist in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and customer demonstrations as required
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order, including cranes, hand tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ensure proper labeling and assignment of part numbers for piping assemblies and valve connections
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely to move and position materials
  • Maintain accurate documentation, complete job paperwork, and meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, carrying, overhead reaching, pushing, pulling 30-50 pounds regularly Standing & walking constantly Climbing & balancing regularly Hearing ability: ability to hear and interpret sounds to monitor machine variations; ability to identify and diagnose machine changes in order to take appropriate action Visual acuity: ability to read prints, gauges, and measuring/inspection instruments clearly
Working Conditions:
Exposure to various noise levels from machinery and equipment Regularly handling equipment, machine parts, and vehicles Exposure to fumes, dust, and mist Handling of chemicals, oils, inks, paints, and fluids
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Trade School certificate preferred Basic math skills and the ability to use basic measuring instruments Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to operate a forklift and mobile equipment Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams Ability to operate hand and power tools Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
