In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems across various industrial and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure that piping installations meet strict safety standards, adhere to technical specifications, and operate efficiently. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately assemble piping systems. Install, assemble, and maintain piping networks using various welding techniques including
MIG, FCAW,CAD
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding, ), Stick, TIG, and Pipe welding to ensure durable connections. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to cut, bend, solder, and fit pipes according to project specifications. Fabricate pipe components through tube bending, pipe threading, and precise assembly following ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Perform fire sprinkler fitting and pipe installation for sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics. Adhere strictly to safety regulations and protocols including power tool safety practices while working on construction sites. Qualifications Proven experience in pipefitting or related construction roles with a strong understanding of pipe installation procedures. Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Knowledge of blueprint reading, construction plans, NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards is essential. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and pipe threading machines safely and effectively. Mechanical aptitude with experience in fabrication, tube bending, pipe welding, pipeline assembly, and maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including fire sprinkler fitting and power tool safety protocols. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication and installation processes.
