Job Description

Company Overview:
At Creative Fire Incorporated, with locations in Clackamas and Bend, we specialize in the installation of luxury gas and wood fireplaces, outdoor living equipment, and gas lines. Our team thrives on craftsmanship, customer service, and safe, efficient installations. We are growing and looking to add motivated Entry-Level Pipefitters & Hearth Technicians to our skilled field team.
Position Overview:
The Entry-Level Pipefitter & Hearth Technician will assist in installing natural gas lines, fireplaces, gas appliances, and outdoor living equipment in residential and commercial settings. This is a mobile role requiring travel between job sites throughout the region, in addition to overnight travel to work out of the Clackamas location as needed (avg. 2-3 days every other week). The ideal candidate is eager to learn, dependable, safety-conscious, and ready to build skills in a fast-paced environment where quality and professionalism are top priorities.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation and testing of natural gas lines in accordance with local and national codes Help set up and install fireplaces, gas appliances, and outdoor living equipment Learn to troubleshoot and repair gas line issues and related equipment Follow all safety protocols and quality standards on every job Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and installation manuals with guidance from senior technicians Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members Maintain tools, vehicles, and job-related equipment in clean and working order Complete and maintain accurate job documentation and service records
Requirements:
No prior experience required — training will be provided Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems is a plus Valid driver's license with clean driving record Willingness to learn troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working both independently (after training) and as part of a team Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor Overnight travel may be required Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent customer service

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
