Pipe Layer Eternal Mark Construction Abilene, TX Job Details Full-time $16 - $20 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Concrete finishing Loader operation Welding Hand tools Pipeline Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Pipe Layer, where you'll play a vital role in installing, repairing, and maintaining underground utility systems. Your expertise will help ensure the safe and efficient installation of sewer lines, water supply systems, stormwater infrastructure, and other underground utilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale projects that directly impact community infrastructure. You will operate heavy equipment, interpret technical drawings, and follow strict safety protocols to deliver quality results on time and within specifications. Duties Install underground utility pipelines including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and water supply lines according to construction plans and blueprints Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and position pipes accurately Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure precise pipe installation and utility trenching Use pipe lasers and other specialized tools to maintain proper alignment and grade during installation Perform utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents Conduct construction trenching activities following federal safety regulations and safety protocol adherence Weld pipe sections as needed for secure connections and ensure compliance with wastewater system standards Complete safety inspections, document work progress, and communicate effectively with team members on site Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on pipeline or utility installation projects Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, underground utilities installation, and stormwater infrastructure Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately Familiarity with utility trenching techniques and construction safety regulations including federal construction safety standards Skilled in using hand tools for pipe fitting and finishing tasks such as concrete finishing or welding when necessary Experience working with pipeline materials used in sanitary sewers, water supply systems, or stormwater systems is preferred Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence during all phases of heavy equipment operation and utility system installation
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
