Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various commercial and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that fire protection systems are installed in accordance with safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your technical skills and contributing to safety and fire prevention efforts. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install fire sprinkler systems. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and fabrication equipment. Install pipe systems by fitting pipes with precision using calipers, tube benders, and other fabrication tools; ensure proper alignment and secure connections. Conduct pipe soldering to connect components reliably while adhering to NFPA standards and safety regulations. Interpret technical schematics and construction plans to determine the correct placement of sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and fittings. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site work, power tool safety, welding procedures, and pipe installation. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during installation or maintenance of sprinkler systems. Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards. Experience Proven experience in pipefitting or sprinkler system installation within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction plans, and technical drawings. Familiarity with NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), ASME codes & standards for piping systems. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly, tube bending, pipeline installation, and system maintenance. Ability to use hand tools such as calipers and power tools safely on construction sites. Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on fire protection or plumbing is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system layout. Commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times during installation or maintenance activities.
