Role:

Garbarino Construction Inc is looking for a skilled Welder to join our growing team in Chesapeake, VA. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on exciting construction projects where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will make a real impact. Responsibilities:

Perform stick welding on structural and fabricated metal components Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications Operate cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with OSHA standards Collaborate with construction crews to meet project timelines and deadlines Perform routine maintenance and inspection of welding equipment

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Welder in a construction or industrial environment Proficiency in MIG, TIG, flux-core, and/or stick welding processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical welding diagrams Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe welding practices AWS certification or equivalent welding certification preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at various heights Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-first attitude
