October 2026 A1 Construction Group is hiring experienced Welders for an industrial/commercial construction project in Chesapeake, Virginia. Job Responsibilities Perform welding work on piping and related construction components Perform field welding according to project specifications and requirements Read and understand drawings, welding details, and project instructions Maintain proper weld quality and workmanship Follow all applicable site safety and quality requirements Work closely with pipe fitters, foremen, and project management Maintain a clean and safe work area Qualifications Previous professional welding experience required Construction or industrial piping welding experience preferred Ability to perform quality welds in a field construction environment Ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a construction team Ability to follow project specifications and instructions Must be able to pass a background check prior to employment Entry-level candidates are not preferred Employment & Benefits Full-Time / W-2 employment Approximately 6-month project Expected start: October 2026 Project location: Chesapeake, VA Meal (lunch) provided How to Apply Please submit the following to : Resume Welding Portfolio - Photos of your previous welding work/weld points Applicants with a strong welding portfolio are encouraged to apply.
