Your expertise will help ensure the safe and efficient placement of underground pipelines following detailed construction plans and blueprint specifications. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation. Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and wastewater systems according to construction plans and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure precise pipe placement and system layout. Use utility locating tools to identify existing underground utilities before trenching or excavation begins, ensuring safety and compliance with federal construction safety regulations. Perform construction trenching activities with attention to safety regulations and proper procedures for utility trenching projects. Weld, cut, and use hand tools for pipe fitting, joining, and finishing tasks such as concrete finishing around pipe installations. Operate pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure accurate pipe alignment during installation. Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of construction site work to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, and front loader truck. Experience with underground utility installation projects such as sanitary sewer lines, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and wastewater systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of utility locating techniques to identify existing underground utilities prior to excavation. Skilled in using hand tools for pipe fitting, concrete finishing, welding, and other construction tasks. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence on job sites. Strong understanding of pipeline installation processes including trenching, pipe laser alignment, sewer line installation, and utility system connections.
