Pipefitter - Commercial Construction Kodiak Labor Solutions | Richmond, VA $30-$39/hour | Temp-to-Hire Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring an experienced Pipefitter for commercial mechanical construction work in Richmond, VA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced pipefitter who can read blueprints, lay out piping, cut and thread pipe, install piping systems, and work safely and independently in an active commercial construction environment. If you know commercial piping and can take an installation from layout through pressure testing , we want to talk with you. For You $30-$39/hour , based on experience Temp-to-hire opportunity Full-time commercial construction work Opportunity to put your pipefitting experience to work on commercial mechanical projects Potential for long-term employment based on performance and project needs What You Will Do Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine piping layouts and installation sequences Lay out, measure, cut, thread, fit, assemble, and install commercial piping Install pipe, valves, fittings, and related piping components Work with materials including steel, iron, copper, brass, and plastic piping Use pipe cutters, Port-a-Band saws, reciprocating saws, torches, and pipe-threading machines Join piping using threading, grooving, soldering, brazing, fittings, and solvent-weld methods Locate pipe runs, connections, penetrations, and openings Pressure-test piping systems and identify and repair leaks Identify potential installation conflicts before they become problems Coordinate piping installations with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other construction trades Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements What We Are Seeking 4+ years of commercial pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical construction experience Strong hands-on experience with commercial piping installation Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications Experience with pipe layout, cutting, threading, fitting, grooving, and installation Experience working with steel, iron, copper, and/or plastic piping systems Knowledge of soldering, brazing, threading, and grooved piping methods Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and applicable piping/plumbing codes Ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork Why Join Us?
