What You'll Do Operate hand torches and burning machines to produce precise, high-quality cuts on steel and metal structures Select proper torch tips, fuel settings, and tooling based on project requirements Read measurements and establish accurate machine setups using bevel gauges, squares, rulers, and related tools Perform Air Carbon Arc Gouging and metal preparation tasks Utilize grinders, needle guns, and other vibratory tools Collaborate with shipbuilders, trades personnel, and production leadership to meet project goals Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards What We're Looking For Minimum 4 years of burner experience in shipbuilding, steel fabrication, heavy industrial manufacturing, or a similar environment Proficiency operating oxy-fuel cutting equipment and burning machines Experience with Air Carbon Arc Gouging Ability to work in physically demanding environments and confined industrial spaces Strong understanding of precision measurements and layout tools Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship Ability to successfully pass a Burner Qualification Test Safety Requirements Candidates should be familiar with industrial PPE requirements, including: Eye and face protection Head, foot, hand, and body protection Hearing protection Fall protection systems and body harnesses (PFAS) Why Apply?
