AIT is seeking talented and highly motivated First-Class Pipefitters. Must be able to layout, fabricate, assemble, install, repair, and modify piping systems. Applicant must possess the ability to perform threading, soldering, gluing, welding and/or brazing of pipes and fittings.

DUTIES:

Follow blueprints and use hand tools and shop machines. Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipes. Cut and thread pipe and pipefittings. Connect pipes to fixtures and test systems for leaks, ensuring that the system meets specifications. Work with a tacker/helper to perform precision work and solve problems. Perceive pertinent detail in objects or blueprints.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 3 years working experience, shipyard/ship repair required Must be able to pass a drug test and background check Ability to obtain a DBIDS preferred/ OSHA10 Knowledge of blueprints and drawings Previous braze quals preferred
