Kodiak is seeking experienced Plumbing/Piping Mechanics for full-time commercial construction work in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas . This position pays $30-$39 per hour , based on experience. This position is intended for local candidates. Per diem or travel expenses are not provided. Responsibilities Follow all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures. Read plans and drawings to determine installation requirements. Measure, lay out, cut, thread, assemble, and install pipe, valves, fittings, and fixtures. Work with steel, copper, brass, iron, and plastic piping. Join piping using fittings, soldering, brazing, grooving, and solvent methods. Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment. Test systems for leaks and make necessary repairs. Work effectively with supervisors, customers, and other trades. Qualifications At least 4 years of plumbing, piping, or mechanical trade experience. Commercial construction experience preferred. Ability to read plans and use plumbing and piping tools. Knowledge of plumbing codes and OSHA safety regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
