$24.85 - $45.79 PER HOUR Interprets ship plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out submarine piping systems, including routing, placement, slope, elevation, and equipment operation. Installs, modifies, and repairs piping systems by routing and cutting openings; installing pipe hangers; ensuring correct slope and elevation; preparing P-1 and P-2 weld joints; and using basic pipe layout and bending techniques. Performs equipment removal, repair, calibration, testing, and installation, including Trident Barton tank-level indicators. Identifies and removes piping conflicts or obstructions aboard submarines to support other maintenance and installation teams.
