MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC

$24.85 - $45.79 PER

HOUR PER HOUR

Disassemble, inspect, repair, test, shipboard lay-out and alignment, and install steam or gas turbines, reduction gears and other main propulsion components. Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting mechanical systems and components to assure proper operations. Read and interpret drawings, sketches, plans and blueprints for fabrications, installation, repair and modification of shipboard mechanical systems. Ability to establish accurate equipment/component geometry to operate, test, inspect, align, and verify equipment/component functionality per manufacturing specifications.
