Traveling Installation / Project Manager - Sanitary Pipefitter UPP | $35-$50 per hour, based on experience UPP is looking for a seasoned pipefitter and hands-on leader to manage our road crew, lead industrial installation projects, and help grow our company. We need someone with well over 10 years of road experience who can earn the crew's respect, communicate confidently with plant personnel, and take ownership of a job from planning through completion. You'll work alongside your crew while managing schedules, coordinating projects, and building customer relationships that help UPP earn repeat business and larger projects. What You'll Do Lead, schedule, and coordinate crews of up to 20 people, including daily work assignments and project priorities. Work hands-on as a pipefitter alongside the crew, setting the standard for workmanship, safety, and productivity. Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and construction drawings for plant expansions and new construction. Plan and oversee piping installations, keeping work organized and moving toward project deadlines. Coordinate labor, tools, materials, and equipment to keep the crew productive. Build and maintain strong working relationships with plant personnel, customers, and other contractors. Keep UPP leadership informed with clear, consistent updates on progress, schedule changes, customer requests, and issues that need attention. Recognize opportunities for additional work and help UPP win larger projects through strong relationships and dependable project execution. Develop into project estimating and quoting, including evaluating scope, labor, materials, equipment, and scheduling needs. Address field challenges, hold the team accountable, and help crew members improve their skills. What We're Looking For Well over 10 years of hands-on road experience in industrial pipefitting and installation. Proven experience leading crews and managing work on active industrial jobsites. The ability to confidently organize and lead up to 20 crew members while remaining actively involved in installation work. Strong ability to read P&IDs, blueprints, and construction drawings. Experience with plant expansions, new construction, and industrial piping projects. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. A team-first attitude and the ability to build trust with both the crew and plant personnel. Willingness to travel and work with our road crew. Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform the physical duties of pipefitting and installation. Interest in helping build UPP, strengthen customer relationships, and take on greater project responsibility. Previous estimating and quoting experience is a plus. The ability and willingness to grow into those responsibilities is important. Pay & Benefits $35-$50 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. $62 daily per diem.
