Position Description:
This role is responsible for monitoring gas pipeline pressures and flow rates to ensure safe and reliable delivery of gas to market. This role will make decisions, based upon his/her level of experience, that will have an operational and economic impact on the pipeline system. Responsible for identifying issues and trends and make suggestions to management on how to address these situations and create efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate EQT's SCADA system; including extracting data trends used for analysis Monitor pipeline pressures, flows and gas quality Ability to identify and respond to deviations from normal pipeline conditions Ability to work with field personnel to commission new facilities, re-route gas during maintenance/outages and ensure system operations return to normal at the conclusion of pipeline maintenance/outage Effectively document and communicate current pipeline conditions, upcoming events and any issues that arose during the day which impacted or will impact pipeline flows to incoming control room personnel Capability to properly document data in EQT's shift log Ability to understand gas flow and to identify various components of EQT's pipeline equipment Comprehend alert and alarm management concepts and how to investigate/evaluate and respond to maintain pipeline integrity Ability to effectively communicate nomination and flow amounts to both internal/external parties and provide notification following abnormal/significant events Ability to work with Measurement Technicians to validate point-to-point during routine maintenance Periodically review EQT's alert and alarm listing to ensure listing is comprehensive, set point values are appropriate for pipeline equipment/operations Identify when differences between flow and nominations are advantageous to maintain system integrity Approve SCADA screens as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma 1-3+ years of relevant industry related experience which demonstrates the ability to solve problems without clear precedent Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
